Q: I am a full-time stock investor and stock investment is my main source of income. If I enrol in shares and options trading courses, can the course fees be tax deductible?

A: If you are a full-time stock investor and stock investment is your main source of income, the income is generally regarded as business income for tax purposes. In such cases, if the shares and options trading courses are directly related to and undertaken to support or enhance your investment business, the course fees may generally be deductible as business expenses, provided that the expenses are incurred in the production of income.

Wishing you plentiful tax savings!
