Q: I only earn employment income. My company provides a shared driver to send me and my colleagues to meet different clients for business purposes every day. Is this a taxable benefit that needs to be declared in our Form EA?

A: Where a driver is provided, the value of this benefit should be declared as a gross employment income in the Form EA. However, if a driver is not specifically assigned to any employee and instead comes from a pool of drivers provided by the employer solely for business purposes, no benefit will be taxable on the employee or to be declared in the Form EA.
