Q: Every year, I make donations to a temple. Can I claim any tax deduction on these donations to a temple?

A: This depends on whether the temple is an approved institution or organisation. If it is, the temple will issue an approved donation receipt, which you may use to claim a tax deduction. The donation deductible is limited to 10% of your aggregate income.
