Q: Can I claim tax relief for serious disease medical expenses with only a provisional diagnosis or symptoms stated in the medical report?
A: No. The serious disease must be certified by a medical practitioner registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), and the medical report must contain a confirmed final diagnosis. Provisional diagnosis or symptoms alone are not sufficient to support the claim.
