Q: I am a full-time salesperson employed by a motor trading company. When reporting my employment income, can I deduct referral fees paid to other referrers?
A: Yes. Although you are employed as an employee and report your income as stated in the Form EA, you are allowed to deduct referral fees paid to other referrers if these referral fees are wholly and exclusively incurred in the production of your income such as commission received.
