Launching Our House of Gratitude, Love and Care (GLC)

Introduction

We are so excited to announce that we have officially launched our House of GLC on 28 February 2023! Our mission is to provide a place of gratitude, love, and care to all YYCians and to those in need. We believe that we can positively impact our community in every little thing we do. We welcome you with open arms to joining us on this journey as we strive to create a better world.

What We Do

At House of GLC, we believe that Gratitude, Love, and Care is at the core of everything we do. We strive to create a positive, uplifting culture of giving and receiving that celebrates the diversity of our communities.

In addition to providing support to charity organisations, we have hosted numerous events since second half of Year 2022 till to date and continuing the efforts throughout years to come. These events include sports tournaments, charity drives, education workshops, and cultural celebrations. We aim to provide opportunities for our people to share their skills and knowledge, build relationships, and promote personal growth with the wider community we live in.

At House of GLC, we strive to bring Gratitude, Love, and Care into every corner of our community. By engaging in acts of kindness, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.

Our Core Values

Gratitude: We are thankful for every opportunity to make a difference. We strive to show our appreciation for all those who support YYC—from clients to employees. We recognise the efforts that have gone into achieving targets and express our gratitude through meaningful gestures such as thanking clients for their loyalty and recognising employee achievements along the way.

Love: Love involves caring for the well-being of others and is an essential part of our mission. We seek to create an environment of acceptance, compassion, and kindness, where everyone feels appreciated and supported. We foster an atmosphere of empathy and mutual respect and provide employees with the resources they need to take care of their mental health and well-being.

Care: Care involves philanthropic activities and environmental stewardship, such as donating to organisations that provide support to vulnerable communities and minimizing environmental impact through sustainable business practices by reducing waste, conserving energy, and using eco-friendly materials.

How You Can Help

If you are looking for ways to get involved and make a difference, there are a few keyways you can help.

Join Us as a Committee Member: We are always looking for committed YYCians who can help steer the direction of the organisation and make sure that our plans run smoothly. By joining us as a committee member, you will have the opportunity to shape the mission and vision of our organisation and actively contribute to our growth.

Be an Event Crew: Our events are some of the most principal elements of our organisation, and we always need reliable people to help make them a success. Whether it is helping with setup or taking control of tables, every little bit counts, and your help is greatly appreciated.

Participate in our Events: Of course, there is also nothing more important than attending our events yourself and showing your support! Not only will you be able to meet like-minded individuals from the community, but you will also be able to contribute to making these events an enormous success.

No matter how you choose to get involved, your help is invaluable, and we thank you in advance for your support. Together, we can positively impact lives and create a home that is full of Gratitude, Love, and Care.

Long Term Strategy

With our continuing efforts in GLC, we can also do our part in supporting The United Nation Sustainable Development Goals in Malaysia – the global call to action to end poverty, protect the earth’s environment and climate, and ensure that people everywhere can enjoy peace and prosperity.
