Q: My child is in primary school. If I enrol him at a centre that provides both daycare and tuition, can I claim childcare relief for the fees paid?

A: From Year of Assessment 2026 onwards , childcare relief has been expanded to include children aged 12 and below enrolled in a daily care centre or after-school transit centre registered with the Department of Social Welfare . If the fees are paid to the above mentioned centre, you may claim a tax relief of up to RM3,000.
