Q: I bought a CCTV system for RM3,500. Can both my husband and I claim tax relief for this purchase?

A: No, only the individual who actually incurred and paid for the purchase of this CCTV is eligible to claim tax relief up to a maximum of RM2,500. The invoice and proof of payment must be issued in that individual’s name. Please note that the relief for purchase of CCTV may only be claimed once from YA 2026 to YA 2027.
