Q: Badminton game expenses: badminton court rental fee, shuttlecock, badminton racquet. Are these badminton expenses eligible to be claimed as lifestyle relief?

A: > Badminton court rental fee 

It is not eligible to be claimed as lifestyle relief until Year of Assessment 2020 because it is not a sports equipment.

However, under the 2021 Budget, with effective from Year of Assessment 2021, it is eligible to be claimed as lifestyle relief for an amount of up to RM 500. 

> Shuttlecock and badminton racquet

Yes, both are eligible to be claimed as lifestyle relief as these are considered as sports equipment.
