Q: I am a beauty content creator. As I frequently need to appear on camera for work, I regularly undergo aesthetic or cosmetic treatments. Can these aesthetic expenses be claimed as business tax deductions?
A: Generally, aesthetic expenses are not tax-deductible. Such expenses are usually regarded as personal in nature, and even if they are related to your work as a beauty content creator, they are not considered to be wholly and exclusively incurred for the purpose of producing business income. Therefore, they cannot be claimed as deductible business expenses.
